Original, young, fun, and different describes only a fraction of what this new Hip Hop group has to offer the music industry. Entrepreneurs Living In Today’s Environment, E.L.I.T.E. Musik Group, is a Hip Hop and production group based out of Brooklyn, New York. Since the official launch in 2012 E.L.I.T.E. has taken the underground music scene by storm. With a host of mixtapes and mind-blowing performances, the team consists of founder and up and coming artists Jay “Ghetto Scholar” Cedeño (GS), FITZ, DRE-Pool, R.G., DJ L, and Siyah. Believing there is no medicine better than laughter; founder GS created a conglomerate of extraordinary talent and creativity. “This body of work shows how much we enjoy life regardless of all the struggles and ups and downs that it comes with. The term ‘forever young’ is a mind state that we live by and hopefully die by”. These are the words of GS when describing the style and vibe of E.L.I.T.E. Musik Group and how their debut album entitled Free before 12 differs from today’s music with artistic lyricism over party-like beats. This group covers all facets of record production, from writing, recording, mixing, and artwork, to even videos. They truly are the definition of “Indie” from a creative prospective and business aspect with changes in the music industry and technology advancements giving artists the ability to create music with fewer restrictions.
