NFL Halfway Point

Normally I would have done a video, but being that my mac is down and the computer I'm typing on is older than one of my nephews (8 yrs) lol, I was unable to find some good video editing software.

Midseason its very odd, I won't make this long in the AFC things are playing out as I kind of thought power teams include Pitt, Bal, NYJ, Indy & New England. Surprise teams Kansas City, My Raiders! & I also have to throw Houston in there. I don't really think their are any underachieving teams in the AFC. The next 2 months will be interesting to see who comes out as the top seeds.

The NFC however is starting to shape up, A lot of people wrote off the Saints but weren't talking about all of the injuries they had as a team. The win on last Sunday was a statement game! They showed that they're still one of the top teams in the NFL by winning that game. Not saying cause I'm a fan of that team that they'll make a run but they're schedule is pretty easy from here on out and they're are getting healthier. As far as the top teams ATL I'm buying, they had a lot of injuries last year, the only thing that may hurt them in the playoffs is lack of experience. NY Giants I'm also buying other than ATL they've been the only consistent team in the NFC they're also well balanced. N.O. I talked about already and Tampa I'm not buying especially a coach saying their the best team in the league but a week before got blown out 30-10 at home by the saints! Green Bay and Philly are probably the best of the average teams at the moment will both be solid playoff teams. Surprise teams St. Louis and Arizona yeah they play in horrible divisions, but lots of people forget AZ was just in the super bowl and in my opinion the defense is better than that super bowl teams defense of 2 years ago and with St. Louis Bradford has transitioned smoothly. Dissappointments Dallas and Minnesota. Dallas....the media and the fans put their foot in their mouths with all the super bowl garbage. They were an average team before and like I said in the preseason video they've done nothing to convince me they're actually a contender from the time they lost in Minnesota last season till now. Whenever Jerry stops getting "Yes Men" to coach his team Dallas will win another Super Bowl! As far as minnesota they were victims of an easy 2009 schedule but still underachieving with the talent they have there. My prediction still stands Saints vs Jets super Bowl Book It!

New Site & Outrageous Sale Coming Soon

I told one of my homies and he though I lost my mind!

Is this a hobby or a career?

Being a music artist has its good times as well as its ugly times. In the end I wouldn't change anything for the world. One of the things though as an artist or producers that we have to ask ourselves is, Do we do it cause we love it and its who we are, or do we do it just to be scene and seemingly its popular to be an artists these days. Sometimes the answer shows each day, because each day you should be working towards a goal. Are you writing, if you're a producer are you making beats? Are you hitting the studio? Are you hitting people up online making connections with people in the industry. If you answered yes, then you're making PROGRESS. If you answered no then you're probably one of those people who do it cause its the cool thing to do these days. To the artists that are really grinding keep on doing it, no matter what, the industry nor time doesn't stop so why should you. Also occasionally you may have to make tough calls on things within close family or friends in order to move forward and take care of business to help your career, sure it sounds selfish, but you have to think of it in a way of if you're scheduled for work and something comes up depending on the circumstance you still end up going to work anyway. Think of your careers and business in the same light. As an artist/or producer we live in a very different world than everyone else we only understand what it is we have to do daily and what kind of routine we have. In our society we're trained from the beginning of working jobs that you have to be told to go to work and told to do whatever your job encompasses in order not to get fired or to get that promotion. Think of getting to the next level as an artist as your promotion! We live in a unique world and see everything totally different that the average person! Being an artist is like being in a fraternity!

B.E.T top 10 list?

Okay so I finally got a chance to see this list and at first from what I was hearing I pretty much didn't agree with it, however my stance has changed a little being that they are talking about since the turn of the century. It breaks down as follows

1) Eminem
I had thought he started off good in the early 2k's but from about 04'-08' he was either non existent or his material to me wasn't up to par. With his latest release I thought he redeemed himself.

2) Lil' Wayne
Actually took an opposite stance on him as well early in the century. Didn't care for his music at first especially coming from Louisiana and hearing him before the rest of the nation did, but Wayne broke out and earned my respect around the Carter 2 release.

3) Kanye West
Thought his flow remained consistent throughout his career, but his production took a dip with the 808's album.

4) 50 Cent
First question mark in the top 10. To me I think he started out real good then just went downhill from there with the beefs with various artists. I think he will always be a relevant name in the industry no matter what.

5) T.I.
Very consistent album wise throughout the 2k's, for future recommendations change up the production.

6) Ludacris
I had a hard time with this one but big picture since 2001 he's put out hit after hit. My only issue was the battle of the sexes album seemed too much like a nikki minaj collabo album and not a luda album.

7) Drake
Great artist, however should not be in the top 10, he's only been relevant for the last 2 years. I think Drake has a bright future as long as he keeps on doing what he's doing.

8) Young Jeezy
Was hard for me to agree with as well, his first album Thug Motivation 101 was a classic. He's made solid albums, but hasn't came close to matching that first one. I also think its time for him to get some more lively production.

9) Jadakiss

I think probably should be much higher than he is on the list, this man has 3 albums and none of them of sub par. His last album Last Kiss was also a classic that I couldn't stop playing. Jada also will continue to have a bright future.

10) Rick Ross
Should probably be a little higher on the list as well. Has delivered the COMPLETE package with flow and picking good production for all of his albums.

Current Thoughts!

Can't go into detail, but something may be happening soon where life could be changing forever for the better. Years of work and putting a lot into making music and making connections could very well be paying off, regardless of how things turn out this time, I see I am not far from really getting to live off of this music. Over the last few months I've met a few good artists not only offline, but also online. I've made a few good connections with a few artists and labels as well. To you artists or producers wanting to live your dreams, it is definitely possible but it isn't something that is just going to happen. You not only have to have the work ethic, but also a drive like no other. A lot of times our family and friends will say they believe in what we are doing, but don't realize at the same time how real this music thing is. We're not playing video games we're leading real careers and running real businesses. In society we're taught to think with a slave mentality a 9:00-5:00 mentality, we're not taught to pursue what we want and go get it. A lot of times our family who's minds are programmed with that same mentality will try to get you the game cause they think its cool to get off work and have a couple of cold beers and sit down and watch tv, then you got the homies who sit down all day hanging out smoking weed all day between the two you won't get anywhere with your careers. You the only one that can change your life not anyone else. You do all this next thing you know you wake up 40 and broke wishing you could have done things differently. What I'm saying is never give up , stay making music, making connections and on your shit cause those same people who didn't believe or take you seriously will be there when the "Real Checks" start flowing. I'm not saying don't help, but remind them that they thought it was a hobby when you were living a career. Whats going on with me? Well, you will be the first to know depending on how this week goes, lets jst say this happens and it will be a big step for me as a producer!!!!!

Dr. Laura I Reject Your Deposit!

As I said with Don Imus years ago NO APOLOGIES accepted! I was always taught if you say something , mean what you say and in my opinion she ment what she said. As an artists yes I use the word "Nigga" on and of records and have all my life and probably will continue to in the future. I hear people of many different races asian , black, hispanic and very few whites at times. I think we all have a little "Nigga" in us now as far as the word Nigger its a hate word and I will never let anyone of any race say it in that context. First off its a whole different story when you're on the receiving end from someone white saying that, cause personally I probably wouldn't respond in the most friendliest way if that would happen. The other thing I disagree with is that if you don't want people to call your significant other that then maybe you should date or marry the same race. I think we're at an day and age whree more and more inter-racial relationships and families are being started and I don't see a problem, I think its a major stride in easing the racism but at the same time its creating more hate by some. I say to those, get out of the "old days" times had to change! There are still a lot of people who are ignorant to this issue from ALL RACES, you beliefs are your beliefs, don't come around me with it though! It was also not okay for Kramer to say that a while back as well

Hobby versus Careers (Mixtape Submission Info)

Each day I receive a few emails from guys on how to get their music out there and market themselves a little better, and when I say marketing I mean more than just throwing some music online and saying listen to my music. I'm talking about utilizing social network sites like twitter, myspace and facebook but not just getting on the site, you have to talk to other artists or other producers give and receive feedback on your music. Also look for opportunities for you to maybe collabo. A lot of artists aren't making progress because they are only putting out mixtapes and they DON'T INVEST IN THEMSELVES I don't mean just getting production I'm talking about getting on sites where you have to pay for membership but that same artist is buying the new pair of Jordans or the new video game that was released. As producers we didn't walk into Guitar Center and ask for a free keyboard or Mac computer a lot of us bought out equipment by grinding whether it was on a 9-5 job or just selling beats to get what we want. In life there is brokeness vs ballerness the broke people suffer from ignorance, they make judgement without investigation, always see themselves as a victim, blame other people for their problems which leads to more bitching. The Ballerness side consists of people who are intelligent, who investigate before judgement, who are go getters, people who TAKE ACTION and in the end you'll notice you WILL start Ballin. After sitting at home this past weekend I thought of a way I can help you guys but you're going to have to want to help yourselves at the same time. I am planning a mixtape project for release later this year, its going to be a $25 submission fee, but what you are getting is not only a spot on the mixtape but also a free lease for you own personal projects. I'm only accepting submissions for 2 weeks after that it will be a case by case basis. I want to see all you artists succeed and you will never succeed unless you take action. I know a lot of you hate your 9:00-5:00 jobs , hate your boss and hate getting up every morning to go to work. Your music career is the key b/c you were given a gift. I'm trying to get you guys to see that this isn't just a hobby, but can be a very lucrative career. You don't need a major record deal to live off your music, just simple marketing online and taking action will bring you more opportunities than you could ever imagine.

Favre's Yearly Soap Opera!

While some people are still on his side I never question Brett's heart and his skill on the football field, but each and every year for the past 5-6 years he has played this game with the media. From the "thinking about retiring" moments in Green Bay to his stint in New York and Minnesota. I don't care about his stats he's only won 1 Super Bowl 14 years ago, there have been guys that came into the league after him that have won more Super Bowls like Brady & Big Ben and Kurt Warner only won a single won but also made 2 more appearances and came a Santonio Holmes TD away from winning a second. At the same time I don't want to take away from stats but all stats do in my opinion is make you a glorified loser!
