Packers vs Steelers SB 2011/ Stop Hating!

Well as the 2010 season comes to a close there are 2 teams left. One of them the Super Bowl isn't unfamiliar grounds, the other its their first time since 1997 when the Packers beat New England. Honestly @ the beginning of the year I could only see one of these teams even making a super bowl which was the steelers (although I picked the Jets). The Packers I saw had potential, but wasn't really sold until the week they played the Patriots a few weeks back. I saw a team with a back up QB almost beat the hottest team in the league in December. Nonetheless this will be one to remember REGARDLESS if my Raiders or Saints made it or not, which leads me into my next topic. Why are Cowboy fans so jelous? I've never in my life seen a group of fans that are so spoiled and bitter as a cowboy fan. Mad b/c another team actually WON and made it there in a year where ya'll were evidently projected to make it to the super bowl it totally absurd. The Dallas Cowboys organization is a JOKE an owner who's a diva, 80% of the fans still living off of past championships not 1-2 years ago but more like 15 + years. They kind of remind me of a guy who's mad cause his friend has a better looking girl friend. The Cowboys fans have did this to themselves, they had high expectations at the beginning of the year for god knows why, and on the other hand can't handle another team winning it in their own stadium, but yet there aren't many fans pointing the finger at Jerry Jones, everyone wants to point to Ted Thompson and the Packers or Dan Rooney. LastIy checked wasn't Jerry in charge of player personnel over the past few years? Isn't he the guy always in the coaches ear on the sideline, and the guy who's running a circus instead of a football team? You COWBOYS fans are the most UNREALISTIC fans in sports and you honestly need a reality check.

And Then There Were 4

Well we're officially down to the final 4 teams left in the Playoffs, Green Bay at Chicago & New York Jets at Pittsburgh , now although my team is out (Oakland didn't make it & New Orleans was out rd 1) I'm still loving the playoffs and one team I predicted at the beginning of the year to make the Super Bowl is still in (NYJ). I think Green Bay will beat Chicago , Green Bay has just really been playing some good ball for about a month straight into the playoffs . Aaron Rodgers is probably playing the best out of all the QB's left in the playoffs and the second game I will ride with my initial pick of the Jets going to the Super Bowl, but I will say Pittsburgh has an edge just having experience so it will be touch.

Match of the Week!

One of my favorite matches from back then!

Timbaland on the move

TImbaland has been in the news this week about 2 things 1.) He is in talks with Universal to become a regular on Fox's American Idol which will also be revamped after this season. The direction of the show is going to have a much needed change and will start to appeal to more of the hip hop and pop crowds. 2.) He has also announced that his next LP will be title Timbo Tuesdays scheduled for release later on this year!

Luther Campbell Mayor of Miami?

No joke! I know he had an very "interesting life" as a rapper in the late 80's and 90's and a lot of that will probably be brought up should he decided to run. The current Mayor may get recalled on March 11, if that happens Luke says he may give it a shot. I think this would be very interesting even for those that do not live in Miami. I do think he's changed although his life in the past has nothing to do with how he'll operate in office, Luke has coached young kids football and helped out in the Miami area since he stepped away from music. Wish him the best of luck!

Big thanks to everyone that has followed me and the music in 2010, now as far as 2011 I'm almost done renovating my lab I should have my mac within the next week or two. Record Industry: Slaves or Music Artists : D-DOT the Producer

Today's music landscape has changed. Everything from production to lyrical content has caused the radio to focus more on mainstream or "POP" content. In the 80's hip hop was on its way with acts lie Public Enemy and Run DMC dominating most of that decade. In the 90's they were relevant, but you had Pac, Biggie, Wu-Tang, Jay and Nas and also the rise of the south from around 95-on and from that point on till about 2004 I thought lyrical content and production were at their best.
With that being said the reason I have for my opinions is there is no more creativity from Producers or Rappers. Too many producers don't put any soul or feeling behind their music. To me production is more than a techno synth and 808 kit and content should be more than just drinking, money women and false words on records from guys working check to check like many people in America. Music should be more about the realistic side of life , the good and the bad times not just the best things in life. Many more producers should focus on having a signature sound rather than turning on the radio and emulating what they hear on it. One other thing that needs to go on is artists need to read these contracts before they sign these contracts. These record exects are worrying more about quantity than quality music and also they are influencing these artists to write what is hip than what is reality. I don't think the radio will ever get back to quality music, but the internet has proven to be the spot for many artists to gather their own following and become successful. With social networking sites and great internet marketing you can pretty much create your own world!

NFL Playoffs

Well the first weekend of the 2010 playoffs have past not many surprises except for the one "BIG" surprise that really still has me mad after 2 days! What you ask well my home team Saints getting upset by the Seahawks. Honestly Seattle had a great game plan going in which was run the ball and throw the ball down field. Got mad luv for the Saints but to me the defense didn't help the offense as pathetic as they played. There were players who weren't wrapping up on tackles and some that even seemed to have gave up late in the game when they still have a chance. Two of the things the Saints need to address is their run defense because that was probably their biggest flaw all year and it really showed a lot this year. Secondly getting a reliable back up running back or even a more durable running back to pair with Reggie and Pierre Thomas. Rarely will you have a case where you'll lost all your running backs as the Saints have.
As far as all of the other matchups, everything was as I picked it Pack over Philly, Jets over colts and I thought the KC/ Baltimore game could have went either way it was the toughest one to pick. Now that the Saints are out I think the NFC SuperBowl favorite will be Green Bay and in the AFC I'm still riding with the Jets as my AFC pick as I did since the first game of the season.
